Work with us

Donald Insall Associates is an employee-owned practice made of over 130 members across nine UK offices, representing some 15 nationalities, speaking more than a dozen languages. We are proud to have a balanced gender ratio, with women taking up nearly half of the practice, many of whom are in senior roles.

In addition to a competitive salary, our colleagues at Donald Insall Associates enjoy benefits such as flexible working hours, pension plan, life assurance cover, and holiday entitlements that increase with length of service.

CPD

We are committed to supporting all our staff, including non-technical staff, in their Continuing Professional Development and offer a range of benefits including payment of professional subscriptions and time to attend relevant training courses. For trainee architects, the practice also offers study leave and financial support towards RIBA Part III qualification.

Employee Ownership

The Practice is wholly owned by its employees through a majority shareholding vested in an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) since we moved to Employee Ownership in 1991. The EOT provides security of continuity and succession in the Practice’s work and organisation. Dividends received by the EOT are shared with all staff each year at the discretion of the Trustees.

Speculative applications

We welcome speculative applications from architects and creative support with a keen interest in high-quality design and building conservation, including students finishing their Part 1 or 2 studies. Please email supportrecruitment@insall-architects.co.uk with a cover letter and a PDF of your portfolio.

Equal opportunities

Donald Insall Associates is an Equal Opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.

All employees of the Practice are responsible for monitoring their own Health and Safety at work and are expected to maintain the same duty of care towards their co-workers.
